Mesa Boogie Dual Caliber DC-10 100-Watt Tube Head - Used
The Dual Caliber DC-10 is one of the more underrated pieces in Mesa Boogie's catalog — a two-channel, four-voice all-tube head built and handcrafted in Petaluma, California between 1993 and 1999. Six 12AX7 preamp tubes and four 6L6 power tubes drive a 100-watt solid-state rectified circuit with two fully independent channels, each with two switchable voices and its own gain, treble, mid, bass, presence, reverb, and master volume controls. The Rhythm channel covers sparkling clean to pushed crunch, and the Lead channel runs from singing overdrive to saturated high-gain territory. Switchable 100/60 watt power reduction adjusts output to the tubes rather than bypassing stages, keeping the amp dynamic and responsive at lower output levels. Onboard spring reverb, series effects loop, and a Pull Boost on the input round out a feature set that holds up in any serious playing environment. A contemporary of the Dual Rectifier but with its own distinct voice — tighter, more focused, and increasingly sought after by players who know what they're hearing.
This one is in Very Good condition with normal wear consistent with an amp from the early-to-mid 1990s — nothing jumping out cosmetically. Fully functional across both channels, all four voices, reverb, effects loop, and 100/60 watt switching. Mesa-branded tubes installed throughout. A set of extra tubes of unidentified type is included.
