The Yamaha VX25B is a compact and punchy solid-state bass combo designed for practice, rehearsals, and small studio sessions. Part of Yamaha’s reliable VX series from the 1980s and 90s, this amplifier is known for its straightforward design and clean, honest reproduction of your bass’s natural tone. It delivers a solid 25 watts of power through a heavy-duty Yamaha speaker, providing plenty of volume for home use and low-volume jamming.
The control layout is intuitive, featuring a 3-band EQ that allows you to quickly dial in everything from a warm, vintage thump to a brighter, more modern slap tone. It also includes a dedicated headphone jack for silent practice, making it a perfect companion for late-night sessions. Like most gear from this era of Yamaha production, the build quality is exceptionally rugged, featuring a sturdy cabinet and reinforced corners.
This unit is in good condition and has been fully tested in our shop. The pots are clean and scratch-free, the speaker is in great health, and the input jacks are secure. Cosmetically, it shows some typical signs of use such as light scuffs on the Tolex and minor wear on the grille cloth, but it remains structurally sound and 100% functional.
