Suhr Hombre 1x12 w/ Factory Cover - Used - Excellent
Suhr's Hombre is the brand's take on the brownface era of Fender Deluxe tone — that storied bridge between tweed grit and blackface clarity that's driven vintage prices through the roof. This one's hand-wired in the Suhr fashion, running three 12AX7 preamp tubes, a pair of 6V6GT power tubes, and a 5AR4 rectifier for around 18 watts into a single 12" Celestion V-Type speaker. Normal and Bright channels keep the control set simple, and the standout feature here is the Dynamic Tube Bias tremolo, prized for a rich, organic pulse that responds to playing dynamics in a way standard tremolo circuits can't match. Under the hood you'll find boutique touches throughout, including a custom American-made Heyboer transformer, silver mica tone caps, and Mallory 150 capacitors.
Both channels are working great, with some slightly crackly pots that buyers should be aware of. The included Suhr footswitch for tremolo activation works but will need a new TS cable to use. Cosmetically, this one's excellent — the cabinet and tweed covering look fantastic with no wear or damage to note. It comes with its factory fitted padded cover with velcro straps, which is in mint condition itself. Per the seller, the tremolo on this particular amp feels especially natural and dynamic — a real highlight of the Hombre experience, and a great fit for players chasing vintage brownface vibe with modern reliability.
