Mill River Music brings you a used Silvertone 1472 10-Watt 1x12" Amplifier! Despite its age and the fact that it was produced in the 1960s, this amp has a lot of life and music left! We cleaned it thoroughly here in-shop and had our electronics tech test it to bring it to spec; now it plays fantastic, and has a wonderful natural breakup only tube amps can achieve! Physically, the amp is in excellent condition given its age and use, with minor scrapes in the tolex and some discoloring on the front grille cloth (you can start to see the outline of the speaker).
Silvertone built a few different amplifiers in the 1960s, with the black tolex-covered 1472 being an innovation for them! Powered by 2 6V6GTs, 2 12AX7s, a 6X4 and a 6AU6, this amp rates in at 55W, and can accept a Microphone (1/4" TRS cable) and two Instrument inputs! On the front silver side panel, you have controls for the Microphone chanel and Instruments channel, each with "Tone" and "Volume" knobs; there is also built-in Tremolo in this amplifier with two knobs labeled "Speed" and "Strength" to dial in the tone! This is a rare and unique amplifier, and its ready to be loved, celebrated and played!
