Fender Blues Deluxe Tweed w/ Tone Tubby Speaker - Used - Excellent
Fender's Blues Deluxe Reissue picked up where the original Tweed Series left off, taking the format of a great '50s Fender combo and adding channel switching and built-in reverb. This one runs the classic two-channel layout — a clean normal channel with bright switch, and a drive channel with independent gain and master controls — fed by three 12AX7 preamp tubes and two 6L6 power tubes, with Fender spring reverb and an effects loop onboard. This example has had its stock speaker swapped for a Tone Tubby Hempcone, a well-regarded upgrade among players chasing more breakup, harmonic complexity, and a livelier low end than the stock Eminence offers. It's also been fitted with a Mercury Magnetics transformer, a popular boutique upgrade known for tightening up low end and adding headroom and clarity over stock Fender transformers.
Everything on this amp works as it should — both channels and the spring reverb are fully functional. Cosmetically, it's in excellent shape: the tweed covering and grille cloth show only normal handling wear, and the chrome panel and metal siding are clean and free of rust. No footswitch is included with this amp. Per the seller, the clean channel is a real highlight here, and the reverb has plenty of depth and shimmer when you dial it up — a great pick for players who want classic Fender clean tone with some added lushness on tap.
