Fender 1975 Twin Reverb Silver Panel - Used
One of the most recorded and gigged amplifiers in history, the Twin Reverb has anchored stages and studios since the 1960s — a two-channel, 85-watt all-tube 2x12 combo with headroom to spare, spring reverb and tremolo on the Vibrato channel, and the kind of clean tone that sits under and around everything without fighting for space. The 1975 models run the AA769 circuit with a master volume control introduced earlier in the decade — a feature that gives each channel's preamp its own volume independent of the master, allowing earlier gain onset at more manageable stage volumes. Both channels feature independent volume, treble, bass, and bright switch controls, with speed, intensity, and reverb controls on the Vibrato channel.
This example is in Very Good condition and fully functional — both channels, reverb, tremolo, bright switches, and master volume all working normally. The tolex shows some dings consistent with 50 years of use, and there is a minor tear in the front grille cloth that is not particularly noticeable. Both original speakers have been replaced. One is an Eminence Legend 1218 — a 12", 8-ohm, 150-watt ceramic guitar speaker that Eminence specifically recommends as a direct replacement for the Fender Twin. The second is a vintage Eminence OEM speaker dating to the 24th week of 1981, identifiable by its EIA code (67-8124) but otherwise unidentified as the label is obscured by a square cover plate — see photos. Tube history unknown. Original Fender 2-button footswitch included.
