This is a remarkably well-preserved example of a mid-60s Black Panel era Fender Bassman 2x12 speaker cabinet. Highly sought after by guitarists and bassists alike for its legendary punch and harmonic richness, this cabinet features the larger "piggyback" dimensions typical of 1966. Its closed-back construction provides the tight, focused low-end response that defined the sound of 1960s rock, blues, and surf music.
This cabinet is loaded with its **original Jensen C12NA speakers**, which are widely considered some of the finest ceramic speakers Fender ever utilized. These drivers are famous for their high power handling, sparkling highs, and a robust low-end that stays clear even when the amp is pushed into saturation. The interior of the cabinet still retains its **original yellow fiberglass insulation**, which is crucial for dampening internal standing waves and achieving the authentic, period-correct resonance this cabinet was designed for.
