Fender Twin Reverb Pre-CBS 1964 Player Grade

For sale is a player-grade 1964 Fender Twin Reverb in good playing condition. S/N: A07437. This old beauty has seen a lot of mileage, but is mostly original where it counts and is a sweet choice for a player looking for an original Twin that isn't collector-priced in 2023. This amp has all of the power and dynamic bloom that players love from a classic Twin Reverb - beautiful compression and luscious reverb/vibrato response even at quiet bedroom volumes.

There are a few unoriginal CTS replacement pots that date to 1966 from servicing decades ago (see photo series). The speakers are older replacement Fender Special Design 12" speakers that sound solid, no buzzing or tears, holding up well with nice response at louder volumes. There are a few extra holes on the top of the enclosure (see photos) and some of the worn hardware was swapped with proper Fender replacements (chassis mounting hardware, handle, various nuts, grill cloth). The chassis is firmly inside the amp with no rattles but does sit a little crooked in the enclosure itself but does not effect tone or playability (see photos for details). There is currently a single phono plug to engage the vibrato channel, replacement Reverb tank/leads that is functional but no footswitch included. Replacement casters. The original knob set is functional but quite worn with a cool vintage patina. Otherwise this amp has been recapped, vibrato circuit replaced, and converted to a grounded AC cable. This Twin drips with 1960s mojo and will make any studio or touring guitar ace swoon!
