Clark Amplification Fremont Custom 1x12" Guitar Tube Combo 1998

Used, in very good condition. This is a Clark Amplification Fremont Custom 1x12" tube combo that began its life as a head and was converted into a combo by its previous owner. Not every USA small-builder delivers for the pricepoint but Clark USA is the real-deal and has delivered for years now! This is a very unique device with a host of switchable options for tinkers and tone wizards alike. This amp has a gloriously-complex midrange character with a unique ability to attenuate and adjust for perfect studio breakup. Beautiful, tube-driven Reverbs galore as well. The Fremont Custom circuit is loosely based on a 38W Super circuit with some modifications and is set up to run either solid state rectifier or tube (5AR4). There are three switches between the 5AR4 and the first EL34 - switches are fixed to cathode bias, pentode to triode, and power tube cathode bypass capacitor in and out. All of the different positions and combinations with the EL34s create a myriad of dynamics for the player/engineer to play with. Jumper between channels for some gritty, compressed character.
