Ovation 6718 Elite Standard Deep Bowl – Used
The Ovation 6718 Elite Standard is a made in Hartford CT, powerhouse acoustic-electric featuring the legendary Deep Bowl Lyrachord body. This design is engineered for maximum acoustic volume and a rich, bass-forward resonance that rivals traditional all-wood dreadnoughts, while the signature multi-soundhole design provides a unique look and enhanced sustain.
This guitar is a solid "player-grade" instrument. It features some cosmetic finish cracking around the bridge area; however, the bridge is factory-bolted down and remains structurally stable. Additionally, there is some minor chipping on the wood "epaulet" decorum around the soundholes. Despite these cosmetic character marks, the guitar has been professionally set up in our shop with nice low action and plays clean across the entire fretboard.
The onboard electronics are fully functional, though the output is a bit on the quieter side compared to modern preamps—perfect for a natural, subtle amplified tone. At 6 lbs 2 oz, it has the substantial feel of a high-quality deep-bowl Ovation. Please note that this guitar does not include a case or gig bag.
