The 000-18 is the Martin a lot of players reach for when a dreadnought feels like too much guitar. The smaller 000 body and mahogany back and sides give it a focused, woody voice: clear trebles, a punchy midrange and an even balance across the strings. It's comfortable to hold, records well and sits nicely under a voice, whether you fingerpick or strum.
For 2025, Martin refreshed the Standard Series with Sitka spruce Golden Era top bracing, a reshaped neck with a thinner fingerboard, and a refined bridge and heel. This one has the aging toner top, black binding, an Old Style 18 rosette and nickel open-gear tuners with butterbean knobs, a look that nods to Martin's prewar 18s. We're Martin-certified repair techs as well as a dealer, so we're happy to answer setup questions before or after you buy.
