This Custom Shop reissue is Gibson's most faithful recreation of that original, built with a Thermally Aged Sitka spruce top that mimics the resonance of decades-old wood, finished in thin nitrocellulose lacquer with a hand-rubbed VOS process that gives it the look and feel of an instrument that has already lived a life.
This one plays and sounds like exactly that. The depth is there from the first note — a full, authoritative voice with real punch — but what sets it apart is how it balances that low-end authority with genuine high-end sparkle. It is smooth and present at the same time, the kind of guitar that does not ask you to choose between warmth and clarity.
