This Eastman E10SS/v is a remarkable tribute to the golden era of slope-shoulder dreadnoughts. Built with a solid Adirondack spruce top and solid mahogany back and sides, this guitar is a powerhouse of vintage-inspired tone. Tonally, it delivers that sought-after "driven compression" sound characteristic of a classic 1940s or 50s workhorse, offering a punchy, dry, and woody character that sits perfectly in a mix.
This instrument is in excellent structural condition and offers professional-level playability. The neck is clear and smooth, providing a fast and comfortable playing experience across the entire ebony fingerboard. As part of Eastman's Antique Varnish series, the guitar features a factory-aged finish designed to replicate the look and feel of a well-loved vintage instrument. While there may be an extra light scratch or two beyond the factory relic work, there are no major dings or significant scuffs to note.
The E10SS/v is finished with a thin, hand-applied violin varnish that allows the wood to breathe and vibrate more freely than a standard lacquer finish. This results in an incredibly responsive guitar that feels "broken in" right out of the case. It has been professionally inspected in our shop and is in great health, ready for the stage or studio.
