Oscar Schmidt by Washburn OG2SM-A w/ Pickup - Used
The Oscar Schmidt brand was founded in 1871 in Jersey City, New Jersey, by Oscar Schmidt, and later revived under the Washburn Guitars family, and the name has continued to be manufactured under Washburn! This full-sized dreadnought is from their "OG2" series, which are "deep dreadnought with a full acoustic resonance" in Oscar Schmidt's words!
The Select Spruce and Mahogany back and sides make this guitar visually beautiful, and the woods add to the sound and tone, which can be described as full, rich and deep! The guitar set up well in-shop, with the truss rod taking adjustments nicely and the bridge having material enough to bring the action up or down in the future. This guitar came modded with a pickup system that holds itself flush with the tone hole; in testing, we found the pickup to work great and it amplifies the guitar's natural tone very well and musically!
