The D-28 Billy Strings is based on Billy's 1940 D-28, with a few changes built for how he plays. A 25" scale lowers string tension for fast runs and bends, and the custom nut width and modified low oval satin neck feel quick and comfortable.
Solid East Indian rosewood back and sides with a spruce top and GE-scalloped forward-shifted bracing deliver big, rich bluegrass power. It has antique white binding, a Style 28 rosette and an antique-toner top, and ships in a hardshell case.
