Here's a 1972 Guild D35 in good playing condition. This gem of a guitar is a real charmer, with bright, full tones, very nice playability, and some serious vintage '70s mojo. Resonant solid spruce top, mahogany back and sides, comfy mahogany neck, rosewood fretboard and bridge, tortoise pickguard, single ring soundhole rosette. A beauty!

This guitar has fairly high mileage and a few issues that have led us to price it on the lower side: the headstock cracked and was repaired at some point in the past; it's very stable but definitely noticeable. It also has a few cracks in the back that are stable and don't show signs of going anywhere. Additionally, the saddle is as low as it will go and the truss rod is in the right place, so the bridge may need to be shaved down in the future to lower the action, and a neck reset could be needed way down the line. However, as is often the case with older Guilds, playability is excellent as it is; this one is set up with very comfortable action –– see specs below –– and will be healthy for many years if well taken care of. Some frets are on the flatter side and the guitar shows finish dings and scrapes throughout (see photos), but playability and tones are still top notch despite these issues. All in all, this is a great chance to get a killer deal on a vintage US-made dreadnought! Ships in the worn but functional original hardshell case.
