This Bourgeois Slope D Custom is a gorgeous instrument that exemplifies the very best of Dana Bourgeois' craftsmanship. It features a premium set of Sinker Mahogany back and sides paired with an Aged Tone Sitka Spruce top, creating a huge, warm, and classic sound. The tone is robust and room-filling, yet retains a beautiful amber warmth and "blended shimmer" when strummed quietly. It’s a top-notch example of a slope-shoulder dreadnought that is both powerful and refined.
The guitar is in Excellent cosmetic and structural condition. It features premium upgrades including Bourgeois' proprietary "Aged Tone" finish and Animal Protein (AP) glue construction, which maximize resonance and responsiveness. Currently set up with 13s and medium action, it plays pretty easily with plenty of room for adjustment to your specific preference. There is some minor fret wear on the B string at the first three frets, but this does not impact playability in any way. This is a huge-sounding classic ready for the stage or studio.
