Tippin OMT-C 2002 Brazilian Rosewood / Adirondack w/ OHSC – Used
Here is another exceptional, luthier-built instrument from Bill Tippin: a 2002 OMT-C. This guitar features a stunning combination of an Adirondack Red Spruce top and Brazilian Rosewood back and sides, all brought together with impeccable build quality. The appointments are elegant and unique, with a "Deco-T" headstock inlay and "Deco Torch" fretboard inlays. Soft V Mahogany Neck.
This instrument has a huge tone, with a warm bass and great balance through all frequencies. It's a very versatile guitar that provides what you would want out of a smaller-bodied rosewood guitar but with much more warmth, depth, and blend. It strums well, fingerpicks well, and flatpicks well, holding together beautifully in all dynamic ranges.
The guitar is in fantastic shape, reflecting the high-end build and care it has received. It's set up to play wonderfully, with action at the 12th fret (with the first fret depressed) measuring 4/64" on the treble side and 5.5/64" on the bass side. There is enough saddle height to make adjustments if desired. This is a top-tier instrument for a discerning player. It includes its original hardshell case, which is in very good shape.
