The Yamaha TAG3 C represents a genuinely different way of thinking about what an acoustic guitar can do. Rather than relying on external pedals or amplifiers to add effects, Yamaha built reverb, chorus, delay, and a full looper directly into the body of the guitar using their TransAcoustic SYSTEM76 technology — an integrated actuator hidden inside the body physically vibrates the top to produce the effect acoustically, meaning you hear reverb and ambience coming naturally out of the soundhole without plugging into anything. It is a genuinely different playing experience, equally suited to quiet practice, songwriting, or solo performance, and the built-in looper opens up creative possibilities that a standard acoustic simply cannot offer. None of that comes at the expense of being a serious acoustic guitar in its own right. The all-solid construction pairs a Sitka spruce top with solid mahogany back and sides, delivering a warm, balanced, dynamic tone that holds up whether the effects are engaged or not. The Venetian cutaway dreadnought body gives comfortable access to the upper register, the mahogany neck is comfortable and stable, and the ebony fingerboard and bridge are smooth and well-finished. A rechargeable lithium-ion battery provides up to 5.5 hours of play time, and Bluetooth connectivity allows for streaming and app-based control of the onboard effects. When it's time to plug in for a gig, the same TransAcoustic System76 electronics deliver a polished, stage-ready amplified tone.
