The asymmetrical S-body is lighter and more ergonomic than a standard dreadnought, contouring naturally against the body for comfortable extended playing sessions. The Sure Align patented neck system eliminates the traditional heel entirely, replacing it with a linear dovetail joint that gives full, unobstructed access to every fret on the neck — a feature that players who work in the upper register or move between acoustic and electric will notice immediately. The all-sapele construction is the tonal center of the instrument — sapele brings a warm, focused midrange with a natural compression and sustain that suits fingerpicking and singer-songwriter playing equally well, with a slightly darker, more rounded character than a spruce-topped guitar and a voice that rewards an expressive touch. The Tone Tension X-bracing with treble-side scalloping optimizes top response for the all-hardwood construction, and the Low Profile Velocity neck with High-Performance Taper gives the guitar a fast, electric-inspired feel that is genuinely different from a traditional acoustic neck profile. Richlite fingerboard and bridge, Tusq saddle, satin finish throughout, and the Fishman MX-T electronics with built-in LCD tuner that auto-mutes when engaged round out a stage-ready instrument that is thoughtfully designed from end to end. The adjustable neck shims allow the player to fine-tune the action to their exact preference — a practical feature that sets this guitar apart from conventional fixed-neck acoustic construction.
This one plays great with standard action, easily adjustable to your preferences via the neck shim system. Minimal fret wear in the cowboy chord area that is extremely minor and does not impact playability in any way. Nut and saddle original and in great shape, electronics functioning perfectly. Cosmetically very nice — a teeny ding on the top lower bout, a few small nicks here and there, the picking area of the top has glossed up slightly with play, and some barely noticeable minor impressions on the back of the neck. Overall in great shape and presenting well. Comes with the original Martin gig bag.
