The Gibson Keb' Mo' Royale is an incredibly rare, limited-run instrument, with only 50 units ever produced. This model represents a luxury evolution of the popular Bluesmaster, blending the soulful, small-body vibe of the L-series with premium Custom Shop appointments. It is designed to capture the dry, woody resonance of a vintage 12-fret Gibson while offering the high-fidelity performance needed for the modern stage.
This particular guitar is in very good shape and has been kept in excellent structural condition. While there are some extremely minor finish marks—common for Gibson’s thin nitrocellulose lacquer—they are purely superficial and cannot be felt. It is currently set up with nice low action, making it a dream for fingerstyle players and strummers alike. A major plus for collectors: the original bridge pins, truss rod cover, and case candy are all safely included in the case.
The sound is massive for its size, thanks to the combination of a thermally aged Adirondack spruce top and hide-glue construction. This "baked" top provides the immediate response and warmth of a guitar that has been played for decades. It comes equipped with an LR Baggs VTC pickup system for a natural, transparent amplified tone and includes its original hardshell case.
