This 2008 Epiphone Masterbilt DR-500M is a testament to the revival of Epiphone's prestigious 1930s line, offering premium all-solid wood construction at an incredible value. Featuring a Solid Sitka Spruce top and Solid Mahogany back and sides, this dreadnought is a loud, clear beast. It sits perfectly in a mix for rhythm strumming but is equally capable of cutting through with crisp, articulate leads.
This specific instrument has been upgraded with a professional-grade K&K Sound Pure Mini passive transducer pickup (a $120 value), making it gig-ready with one of the most natural-sounding acoustic pickups on the market.
The guitar is in Very Good condition and has set up easily with great action. There are two specific notes regarding condition. First, as expected for a played guitar of this age, there are some moderate fret divots on the first few frets; however, the wear is consistent and diminishes naturally up the neck, so playability is not affected. Second, there is some finish cracking around the heel, likely from a minor bump. The crack starts on one side, affects a bit of the body finish, and wraps around to the other side. It is important to note that the wood itself is **not** cracked—the wood joint is adjacent to the crack, not underneath it—and the structure of the guitar is completely solid. Please see the photos for details. No bag or case is included.
