Eastman has built a well-deserved reputation for delivering genuinely premium acoustic guitars at prices that consistently undercut the competition — and the AC122-2CE DLX is a strong example of why. All solid wood construction throughout: solid cedar top with hand-scalloped X-bracing, solid sapele back and sides, mahogany neck with a comfortable Traditional Even C profile, ebony fingerboard and bridge, bone nut and saddle, ebony bridge pins, tortoise binding and pickguard, and Fishman Presys VT electronics with volume, tone, and built-in chromatic tuner. The dovetail neck joint and Jescar frets round out a spec sheet that reads more like a $1,500 guitar than an $899 one. The sunburst finish over the cedar top is genuinely beautiful — warm and rich in a way that matches the tone perfectly.
These are wonderful instruments. The cedar top gives the AC122-2CE an immediate warmth and responsiveness that spruce-topped guitars often take years to develop, and the sapele body adds depth and complexity to the low end. It plays as good as it looks.
This one has received new strings and a full shop setup and is playing well. Cosmetically it shows light play wear and some light scratching on the top — honest signs of a guitar that's been enjoyed. Otherwise in great shape. Comes with the Eastman gig bag.
