Augustino Loprinzi Special Edition Dreadnought 1984 Vintage w/ Alvarez HSC

Wowzers! This Augustino Loprinzi Special Edition from 1984 is one of the best sounding guitars to have come through the shop at any price point. A perfectly balanced and smooth tone with all of the big bass and blended strum you want from a dreadnought. The sustain and halo of overtones may have you forgetting what you are playing as you just sit back and enjoy each note! Reminiscent of a Martin D-28 Custom but with a bit of its own luster.
The hand laid Abalone inlays are a treat for the eyes, and all of the woods were carefully selected for tone and beauty for this flagship model.
The guitar is in really good structural and cosmetic condition.
Overall good structural geometry, with great action and a bit of saddle height to adjust if you prefer it very low.
The frets are good but definitely have some age to them. A refret would bring this to a really incredible level of refinement and playability but it plays great and will for many years as is.
Just set up with a new bone saddle. The bridge has had some repair and reshaping, you can see where the saddle slot was filled and reslotted, it is done quite well.
Rosewood back and sides, Spruce top, Ebony bridge and fingerboard, Grover USA tuners, and all of the Abalone you could dream of!
Some finish fading, nicks, and dings here and there, but nothing much for the age. Please see pics for detail.
