This 1948 Martin 5-17T is a beautifully preserved example of the company’s post-war craftsmanship. Built in Nazareth, PA, it features an all-mahogany body that delivers a warm, balanced, and articulate tone perfect for both strumming and melodic playing. The short scale and tenor tuning make it a versatile instrument for folk, jazz, and contemporary styles.
Structurally sound and ready to play, this guitar shows typical cosmetic wear for its age — light finish checking, minor scratches, and small dings — but no significant cracks or repairs. Frets are in solid shape, and the neck has a comfortable feel. Recently inspected and set up by our in-house techs for optimal playability. Includes a hard shell case.
Every instrument we sell has been professionally checked over and setup by our in-house technician to ensure optimal playability. We pack each order with care and ship promptly.
