For sale is a Gibson L-50 Archtop with a flat back from 1937. Solid spruce top. Solid maple back and sides. Mahogany neck. Rosewood fretboard and bridge. This is a wonderful example of the model with a sweet warm tone that is full of classic vintage Archtop vibe. This is a player that was well loved and shows plenty of signs of wear (see photo series) and has had a handful of well done repairs over the year. These include crack repairs, a refret and fretboard plane.  It has also been set up by our shop and is playing very well with wonderful intonation.  The neck is nice and straight, the nut width is 1/34" and the action at the 12th fret is set at t 3/32nds on the low E and 5/64ths on the high E. actory spec. It has a deep, soft V neck that is quite comfortable for folks who enjoy vintage necks. The tuners are unoriginal. Grab this classic Kalamazoo piece of history before its gone.
