For sale is a 1950s-era Gibson L-48 Archtop guitar in wonderful condition for its age. Aside from some tasteful finish checking, minor fretwear and wear on the neck finish (see photo set) this guitar is very clean, very playable and one of the better examples of an L-48 we have seen at MRM. The top is in great shape with plenty of adjustability in the bridge; the neck has proper relief with a functional truss rod. It has a smokey and earthy voice with excellent projection and a complex character for use in many different kinds of music. Beautiful mahogany, rosewood and spruce with an ideal vintage burst come together to create a timeless classic. Included is a vintage hardshell case (not pictured).
